If you have some time on your hands, and if there are at least two of you in the kitchen, then prepare Pancit Lulug because it is sarap!
My cousin was in town for the holidays and we decided to make Pancit Luglug which requires shrimp, pork and tinapa. It takes time to prepare all of that, but the hardest part of the recipe is knowing you need to save some chicharon for the pancit; my cousin and I almost ate the whole bag!
The pancit turned out well and didn’t last long at home! There was enough pancit so that we had leftovers, but we at that real quick!
In the middle of cooking, my cousin and I ate puto bungbong, which I really enjoyed! I might have to make that next!
I really enjoy making a new Filipino dish each week–so I can learn how to cook, and so I can get closer to my Filipino culture–so please let me know what dish I should make next. Send me a tweet: @gerrardpanahon.
