You’ll do quite a bit of prep with vegetables; I always say that pancit is a two-person job. Wait, that’s lumpia. Anyway, we used napa cabbage, green onions, dried shitake mushrooms, red bell peppers, snow peas, onions, celery and carrrots.
Below you’ll find a video of my first time making Pancit Sotanghon. We noticed that there wasn’t much flavor, so we added MSG! Don’t judge! Actually, what do you think about that? Sound off in the comments below!
I really enjoy making a new Filipino dish each week–so I can learn how to cook, and so I can get closer to my Filipino culture–so please let me know what dish I should make next. Send me a tweet: @gerrardpanahon.
