How to Make Bistek (Stir-fried Steak)

If you like beef, then you will love Bistek (stir-fried steak.) My Lola called it beef steak, so I did a double take when I saw, “Bistek,” written out! Bistek is thinly sliced beef marinated in soy sauce and lemon juice, so it’s got tons of flavor and it’s very easy to make!

Sliced onions are a big part of this dish. The onions are great in the sauce, which is thickened with corn starch.

I absolutely love this dish! The only downside? It doesn’t have as many vegetables as other Filipino dishes I’ve made!
