There are two parts in creating a recipe entry on this blog. First is the actual RECIPE entry (ingredients, instructions), and the other part is the ARTICLE part.
1. RECIPE – to enter the recipe and instructions, click on the crossed spoon and fork icon on top of the edit screen.
It’s easy to enter the basic information for your recipes: the title, the ingredients, and the instructions for preparing the recipe.
There is no limit on the number of ingredients you can add.
And if you want to add even more information about your recipe, such as your rating of the recipe, or the serving size, all you have to do is click the “More Options” link, and you can! You can fill out as many or as few additional options as you would like.
Once you click the “Add Recipe” button, a placeholder image will be inserted into your post where your recipe will go.
2. ARTICLE entry – to create the article for the recipe, just enter the text as you would on a regular WordPress blog entry.
Insert pictures as needed using the icon shown below. NOTE: Please consider uploading images that are AT LEAST 960 pixels wide. This is because the site uses wide images to display the ‘sliding images’ correctly on the front page, and the thumbnail images as well. Only articles with photos 960 pixels wide (or a little more) will be considered to be included on the front page featured sliding-image section.
All that is left are to select the Categories on the right hand column, then click on Submit for Review or Publish (only certain authors are allowed to publish directly without being reviewed by the editor).
